We begin in the capital, taking in its oldest temple, its best-known art, and its digital galleries, then head north to Nikko, where the ornate Tōshō-gū Shrine sits among waterfalls, lakes, and marshland. We continue through the Edo-themed world of Kinugawa, the coastal temples of Kamakura, and the volcanic valleys and lakes of Hakone, before returning to Tokyo for a final look at its design and skyline.
