We built this seven-day journey for travelers who want a guided route through Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, and Hakone without the hassle of planning it themselves — in a small group of just 12, far smaller than a typical coach tour. An English-speaking guide leads nearly every day, with free time built in for meals so you can eat where the locals eat. We start in old-town Asakusa and the winter illuminations of Shibuya and Omotesando, then head to Ginza and one of Tokyo's most immersive digital art museums, teamLab Borderless, where light, flowers, and waterfalls spill across the walls and shift as you move through them. From there we take you to Mt. Fuji country — the mountain framed behind a five-storey pagoda, mirrored beyond the thatched roofs of Saiko village, and glimpsed again across Lake Ashi — with a night at a hot spring hotel in Hakone, a cruise across the lake to a red torii gate rising from the water, and a ropeway to Ōwakudani, a steaming volcanic valley. We close back in Tokyo with a hands-on samurai experience, a walk through Kappabashi's kitchenware street, and one last evening among the winter lights of Marunouchi.
